Weronika Rafa is an award-winning designer and creative director with over a decade of industry experience. She develops brands and design systems across multiple platforms, from print, through digital, to motion. In her career she has worked with clients big and small from all parts of the globe. This includes some of the world's most reputable companies such as Google, Apple, Facebook and Adobe.

Weronika's aesthetic draws on her background in graphic design, typography and art, elevated by bold storytelling. In design she's most excited about what’s weird and unusual within the sector and the wider world. This curiosity is currently pushing her towards typographic (ugly-ish) posters and creative coding inside the design process.

With over 60K social media followers she constantly looks for new expressions and has recently welcomed the role of an industry speaker.

Rebel Patch is a fashion startup on a mission to revolutionise sustainability in clothing and reduce textile waste. Their flagship product, limited-edition art patches, empowers customers to extend the life of clothing in a creative and eco-friendly way.

At a pivotal point in their journey, Rebel Patch needed a cohesive design system to amplify their message and bring their vision to life. I had the opportunity to create this design system, crafting a foundation that not only elevates their products but also helps forge stronger connections with their audience.

The visual identity of Rebel Patch is a harmonious blend of raster and vector elements. The art direction draws heavily on nature-inspired imagery, grounding the brand in an authentic, organic aesthetic that underscores its commitment to sustainability. In contrast, the graphic elements — the whimsical logo, structured frames, and bold typography — introduce a layer of energy and contemporary appeal.

For each collection Rebel Patch organizes a dedicated photoshoot. Locations of these vary and are inspired by the patches' design, highlighting the uniqueness of each release. True to the Rebel Patch ethos, independent photographers are invited to lead the shoots, infusing their vision into how the product is documented.
